Dear clients, shareholders and employees,

The management of Geotrading AD understands that the clients of the company, the State and the society require that we take effective measures to improve the quality of our products and services continuously, ensuring a clean environment and occupational health and safety.

The world is changing rapidly. Therefore, in order to be successful, a business must grow along with the dynamics of the latest innovations and technologies and must have a clear outlook for the future. A company’s priorities shape its corporate values and define its long-term plan for growth.

Geotrading AD has a long-term mission and concept for growth. They serve as a reference for achieving the objectives of the company.

Our mission and vision for the future is: “QUALITY MANAGEMENT OF SALES, SUPPLIES AND SERVICES CONSISTENT WITH THE GREATER GOOD OF SOCIETY AND NATURE, AS ENSURED BY HEALTHY AND MOTIVATED PEOPLE IN A CLEAN ENVIRONMENT”.

The management of Geotrading AD, in support of its strategic orientation and with the involvement of its staff, defined and documented this POLICY containing the main objectives, guidelines and obligations of the company in relation to the compliance of its products and services, the provision of occupational health and safety and environmental protection. This Policy is consistent with the context of the organisation’s quality, occupational health and safety and environment, including the nature, scale and impact of the products and services we produce and provide on the health and environment. It is subject to periodic reviews and updates and is available to all stakeholders to help them understand their obligations in relation to the quality, environment and occupational health and safety;

I hereby declare:

I declare my personal commitment and responsibility to provide the necessary financial and human resources for the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the integrated quality management system, environment and occupational health and safety in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.

To review the objectives in respect of quality, environmental protection and occupational health and safety and to assess the extent to which they have been achieved.

To periodically review the policy and objectives in order to ensure they remain adequate and appropriate for our organisation;

POLICY OF GEOTRADING

The management of Geotrading AD fully accepts the health and safety responsibilities laid down in the Health and Safety at Work Act, the applicable Bulgarian environmental legislation and the quality of the products and services offered;

Geotrading AD is committed to working together with its partners to provide a quality, environmentally-friendly, safe and healthy working environment.

Geotrading AD strives to carry out its core business of:

“Sale, supply and brokerage of: mining, construction and road construction equipment; light-duty vehicles and lorries, buses, electric scooters and cars, spare parts, consumables and equipment for the construction, road construction and mining industry (including running gears); bearings, rubber conveyor belts and polyurethane products; tyres, fuels, oils and chemicals, greases, process and coolant fluids, batteries, road bitumen, nitrates, hydrated lime and mining flotation reagents”,

by ensuring compliance with, and where practicable exceeding, the legal, client and other requirements and the occupational health and safety and environmental compliance obligations adopted by the organisation.

To this end, Geotrading AD periodically assesses compliance with these requirements by determining the impact of environmental aspects, products, processes and activities of the company on the environment and occupational health and safety and keeps records of its compliance.

We ensure sustainable growth by managing the risks and opportunities within the organisation related to the business processes and the significant aspects of the environment and occupational health and safety.

We have significantly improved the company’s financial results by introducing an integrated management system (IMS).

By implementing and using an IMS, including quality management systems – ISO 9001:2015, occupational health and safety management systems – ISO 45001:2018 and environmental management systems – ISO 14001:2015, the management undertakes to bring the information about these requirements to the attention of all employees and stakeholders of the organisation in a timely manner. By accepting its responsibility for the continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System, the management of Geotrading AD hereby declares the following guiding principles:

Systematic assessment and management of the risks and opportunities

risk and opportunity management is a priority of the company for prevention and sustainable growth. Risk management involves the systematic identification and assessment of risks and opportunities associated with business processes, significant aspects of the environment and occupational health and safety risks, as well as the implementation of measures to manage them and keep them within the limits established by regulatory and other voluntarily accepted requirements.

Client orientation

the company’s business depends first and foremost on its clients and therefore we strive to best understand their needs, meet their requirements and exceed their expectations. We are aware of our responsibility and ensure that the company’s processes and activities are continuously monitored in order to deliver a quality product and provide a quality service and to limit the negative impact on the environment (including pollution prevention) and to ensure, to the maximum extent possible, occupational health and safety. We achieve these objectives by adequately identifying environmental aspects and assessing and managing risks.

Leadership

the management is aware of, takes responsibility for and leads by example by contributing to the maintenance and improvement of the integrated system for management of the quality, the environment and the occupational health and safety. It ensures that the policy is understood and adhered to by the staff across the entire organisation. The management shall ensure that all persons working for or on behalf of the organisation, and those whose work is related to significant aspects, risks associated with the occupational health and safety and the quality of the service or product offered, have received appropriate training as to their responsibilities with regard to environmental protection and the applicable legal and other requirements adopted by the organisation with regard to the quality, health and safety standards and the related company standards applicable to them, and the consequences of non-compliance;

People involvement

the management strives to ensure unity of objectives regarding quality, environment and occupational health and safety by creating and maintaining a peaceful and comfortable working environment in which workers and employees feel involved and motivated in achieving them;

Process and systematic approach

the processes involved in product development, environmental protection and occupational health and safety are interconnected and are considered and managed as a system rather than individually;

Continuous improvement

the main objective of the integrated system is to ensure, through continuous monitoring and observation, prevention of environmental pollution, reduction of the risk of occupational diseases and accidents, as well as efficient improvement of performance in terms of quality, the environment and occupational health and safety by taking appropriate and effective corrective and preventive measures;

Fact-based approach to decision-making

internal and external communication system (including periodic audits of the management system, inspection by the Management), administration of documents and records and addressing issues related to compliance and any changes in the applicable environmental and occupational health and safety requirements, create a basis for decision-making based on up-to-date data and information;

Mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers

the Company and its suppliers are mutually dependent and all business and commercial relationships between them are based on fairness, loyalty and mutual benefit, including not only product quality but also environmental protection and occupational health and safety;

Environmental protection, including pollution prevention:

 

  • Systematic identification and assessment of environmental aspects in various areas, planning and implementation of effective corporate environmental monitoring and application of a preventive approach to environmental protection;
  • Controlling and minimising the harmful environmental impact of the processes, activities and the raw materials and inputs we use and offer;
  • The environmental impact of the products we offer is mainly related to the production of packaging. The company has introduced environmentally-friendly systems for the collection and processing of end-of-life tyres in order to maximise their reuse, thereby minimising life and health hazards and offering quality products and services.
  • With regard to the production of hydraulic hoses and tyre fitting, removal and vulcanisation services, waste production during operational, repair and ancillary activities is unavoidable. Therefore, Geotrading has implemented a zero-waste technology reducing waste to the bare minimum.
  • We offer our clients high-quality liquid fuels to reduce their CO2

Providing occupational health and safety

The Management has taken and continues to take measures to prevent occupational injuries and diseases of persons working for Geotrading AD at its offices, production facilities or outdoor workplaces. To this end, the Management takes the following measures:

  •  Systemically identifying hazards, reviewing risk assessments and taking control measures during work in compliance with the applicable occupational health and safety legislation in the Republic of Bulgaria.
  • Giving advice, instructions and training to our staff and partners under occupational health and safety contracts with the company;
  • Monitoring and planning preventive measures to reduce and eliminate health and life hazards for workers and to improve the working conditions;
  • Effective preventive health care and medical treatment for all employees;
  • Ensuring strict compliance with occupational health and safety requirements by staff, business partners and visitors on the premises of the company;

By implementing these principles, the management is committed to adhering to the policy through the following general objectives forming the basis for specific measurable targets that shall be assessed and updated annually:

Keeping the clients and partners of Geotrading AD satisfied with the mutual cooperation –

responding as quickly as possible to their wishes, providing them with the best price to quality ratio by ensuring the compliance of the product with the relevant standards and norms; reducing the occupational health and safety risks; reducing environmental risks arising from the inputs, raw materials, energy, water, emissions and waste used and offered, as well as providing the most attentive and professional expert opinions.

The management ensures that the principles and general objectives set out above have been communicated to all company employees and external stakeholders, as to help them understand their contribution and importance to the company and to strive to comply with them in the performance of their respective job duties.

The management of Geotrading AD undertakes to maintain an effective system for management of the quality, the environment and occupational health and safety by conducting planned and regular assessments and updating it, as necessary. It also undertakes to identify any causes of non-conformity or non-compliance (including foreseeable potential non-conformities or non-compliance) and to take immediate action to identify, implement and follow up on corrective actions and to take measures for its continuous improvement, as well as to secure all resources necessary for the documentation, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the integrated management system.
