Geotrading AD, part of GEOTECHMIN Group, provided the site of the ProAuto centre, town of Etropole, for holding the regional round of the National Road Safety Competition.

For yet another year, the Hristo Yasenov Middle School is hosting and coordinating the regional round of the competition. This year’s competition was supported by Eng. Ivan Vutov, PhD, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Geotrading AD, who provided the site for the competition to be held, as well as food packages for all participants.
The participants and organisers were graced with the presence of official guests: Eng. Vladimir Aleksandrov, Mayor of Etropole Municipality; Ms Rositsa Ivanova, Head of the Regional Department of Education (RDE) – Sofia Region; Ms Tatyana Doseva, Director of the National Palace of Children and member of the National Road Safety Commission; Ms Ani Spasova, Senior Expert at RDE – Sofia Region and member of the National Road Safety Commission; Ms Deshka Bryaskova, Administrative Director of Geotrading AD; and Ms Krasimira Yaneva, Deputy Director of the Public Relations Directorate of Geotechmin OOD.
Eng. Vladimir Aleksandrov welcomed the participants, expressing his thanks for the provided support by saying: “I’d like to thank our hosts from Geotrading AD, part of GEOTECHMIN Group, for always being supportive of all sports, cultural, social and other activities that encompass the work of a municipality”.
After a specially prepared musical programme and performance by the school cheerleaders, the competition was held in two age groups: 5th–7th grade and 8th–10th grade. The participants included students from:
- Nikola Yonkov Vaptsarov Primary School – town of Botevgrad;
- Stefan Stefanov Primary School – town of Elin Pelin;
- Hristo Yasenov Middle School – town of Etropole;
- Otets Paisiy Middle School – town of Samokov;
- Sv. sv. Kiril i Metodiy Middle School – town of Slivnitsa.
The results of the completed written test and practical part were evaluated by a judging panel. The team from Hristo Yasenov Middle School in the 5th–7th grade age group ranked in the IInd place; in the 8th–10th grade age group, the team from Etropole ranked in the Ist place.
