The Executive Director of Geotrading AD, Eng. Kiril Iliev, presented for the second time an Academic Oscar to the rector of the University of Mining and Geology “St. Ivan Rilski”, Prof. engineer Ivaylo Koprev, PhD. The university got the award for the best university specialising in the vocation of “Research, Extraction and Processing of Mineral Resources” at an official ceremony, organised by the 24 Chasa Newspaper.

“We at Geotrading, as part of the GEOTECHMIN Group, believe that the business must support the universities to achieve quality higher education. During the past two years, the Group has provided 37 scholarships to students of the University for Mining and Geology, as well as paid internships in order for them to make their first professional steps with us. I believe that we are giving a good start to their professional career”, said eng. Kiril Iliev.

“Our students are the most valuable resource. We teach them to work in a very indefinite environment and to succeed even in the toughest conditions. The mineral resources industry did not close during the pandemic. We work for Bulgaria to show that science can be applied”, said on his turn Prof. Ivaylo Koprev PhD.

During the event organised by the 24 Chasa Newspaper, the results of the 11th issue of the Bulgarian Higher Education Institutions Rating were presented and the universities which excelled in the vocational qualifications were awarded.
